China Waste Import – Proposed Changes
Known Consignor SchemeOn 1 July 2017, new security requirements for United States-bound air cargo come into force that will affect your business. United States legislation requires that all air cargo entering the US must be security screened at a deconsolidated or ‘piece’ level. This means that from 1 July 2017, the consolidated examination that currently occurs at Australian airports will no longer be acceptable for US-bound air cargo. These new requirements are a significant change to how air cargo is secured. You must be proactive if you wish to prevent disruptions to your US-bound exports after 1 July 2017.
