IFAM is helping restore critical global supply chains for Australian exporters
The International Freight Assistance Mechanism (IFAM), $110 M worth Australian Government initiative have secured more than 350 international flights to date. Flights have been established to send high-end meat, seafood and produce overseas under the federal government's air freight lifeline for exporters.
According to the Department of foreign affairs and trade Australia, space for 11,300 tonnes of seafood, meat and produce had been secured to date.
The IFAM is also enabling importers to bring in essential medical supplies on return flights to support Australia’s response to COVID-19.
