Department of Agriculture announcements and updates on issues concerning the export agricultural products from Australia.

1) 2020-35 Horticulture Exports Program – Thailand Food and Drug Administration to implement stringent pesticide residues monitoring on fresh fruit and vegetables at the port of entry – Implementation date extended to 1 August 2020
To advise of Thailand Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changes to their residue testing on imports of fresh fruit and vegetables scheduled to be implemented 1 August 2020. These changes may result in additional costs, requirements and delays clearing the border. (15 June 2020) 

To notify interested exporters that applications for reservations of tariff rate quota for feed grain exports to Indonesia open on 22 June 2020. (17 June 2020)

To advise industry that applications are now open for the accreditation of farms and packhouses, and the registration of treatment facilities, to export summerfruits to protocol markets for the 2020–21 season. (19 June 2020) 

To advise Authorised Officers (AOs) and the horticulture industry that onshore cold treatment (OSCT) calibrations can now be recorded using PEMS. (23 June 2020)

To advise Authorised Officers (AOs) and Electronic Data Interface (EDI) users of updates to instructional material relating to export certification. (26 June 2020)
