2017 Premier's NSW Export Awards & ASEAN Essentials - Newcastle
This event has now ended.
The Export Council of Australia (ECA) is headed to Newcastle to present an afternoon event packed with information and resources for exporters looking
to expand into the ASEAN market. Whether an emerging or established export business, NOW is the time for companies to capitalise on business opportunities
across the ASEAN region.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) sits strategically on NSW’s doorstep and is a AUD 100 billion trading market for Australia, with its collective GDP of USD 2.5 trillion and a population exceeding 600 million.
As increasing regional connectivity gradually lowers the remaining barriers to trade and investment in this region, NSW exporters are in a prime location to expand their businesses and build on the strong commercial foundation Australia already has in place.
Exporters are invited to this free roadshow event, where a range of service providers and experts on the ASEAN market will be on hand to provide advice and solutions for their expansion needs into the market.
All participants will also receive four newly created Toolkits to assist Australian companies with navigating the ASEAN FTA network – again all FREE. These practical guides have been proudly developed by the ECA, with the support of HSBC Australia.
Don’t miss this opportunity to get the latest facts and practical resources about international trade with ASEAN, and to network with industry peers.

“Our business is about making it easy for people to make environmentally friendly choices. We are looking to expand into new overseas markets and the ECA have been a huge help in this endeavour. The ECA have given us introductions to key businesses that can help us in the markets we are looking at, and their workshops and seminars on topics relevant to exporting were extremely useful. All up, our association with the ECA has been a great asset to Fruity Sacks.”Become a Member
Homart Group has been established for 27 years, and specialises in manufacturing and marketing high quality Australian health supplements. Their products include two major segments of health supplements; skin care and dairy products. Their biggest export challenge is the regulations each country has for the import permits. It normally takes long time to get the registration approval before they can sell the goods into that country.
